$2500 Spirit of Love College Scholarship
Alba Lara is a junior at the University of Texas at Arlington. In May 2009, she declared her major in Business Accounting and was accepted into the Goolsby Leadership Academy, a prestigious program for juniors and seniors. Alba has been very involved with the UTA community being a member of Freshmen Leaders on Campus, UTA Volunteers, Residence Hall Association,
UTA – Hosts Mentor Program, and a Hall Council Advisor. In the upcoming fall semester, Alba will be a PASS Peer Leader (a mentor for first generation freshmen), the Membership Director for UTA Hosts, and will continue her position as a Resident Assistant in the dorms. Academically, Alba plans to add a year to her studies and pursue her Masters degree in Accounting.
