How To Apply

To apply for a Spirit of Love Scholarship, please complete and submit the attached application as well as the following:

• Please complete and submit the attached application along with a recommendation letter from either last year or current year teacher.
• Provide an official school transcript.
• Email a non-copyrighted photo of you.
• Provide a written essay (500 words or less, double-spaced) on this topic:
• Using Psalms 147:3, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” We all have challenges, tragedies, pain, or some kind of grief in our lives. Explain a time in your life when you felt overcome with grief or felt brokenhearted? Were you able to feel God’s presence during this time of grief? How did God heal you during this time? Were you able to share your experience of healing with someone else who felt brokenhearted? Looking back on your challenging time, how has that moment strengthened you to handle whatever comes your way in the future and be there for someone else in need?

• For your application to be considered complete, the checklist MUST BE INCLUDED with your emailed application to Marci Meagher at scholarships@rebekahleahrivera.org
